Active Stars
This is our flagship program designed for children aged seven to 12 years. Coaches support teachers to develop an inclusive physical education curriculum utilizing age-appropriate running and football activities. Interhouse and interclass fun challenges culminate in end-of-term interschool celebratory events.
Reading Stars
This is the second of Mangweni CSI programs focusing on English remedial reading, targeting children in the ages of seven to 12 years. We use phonics method of learning to read, with a focus on phonic games. Working with smaller groups, we also use a number of phonics literary resources to help learners not to lose their desire to read.
Star Power
This is the third program of Mangweni CSI designed for female coaches who work alongside teachers in schools to deliver Active Stars and Reading Stars. Mangweni CSI employs these coaches on a year-long contract basis, the period during which they get exposed to mentorship opportunities that can be identified with partner clients. The aim of Star Power is to provide these young women with linkages that create pathways for employability.
